This document provides an overview of findings from Dr. Guylaine Demers’ research on the experiences of LGBTQ athletes in Canadian sport, completed in 2017. A total of 1,008 Canadian athletes aged 18 to 30 answered an online questionnaire about various topics including the culture of sport, experiences of LGBTphobia, and barriers to participation. The information is presented in both English and French.
